Wyoming... Day 2

Today mom and I started out around 7:45 bound for Wyoming! Mom let me start out driving pretty early in the morning. Today was a harder day... We had a hard time finding things which made all of our stops take a little longer.
It was amazing to be able to see all of God's amazing creation! And it was awesome to watch the landscape change from state to state, but each was unique and beautiful!
Mom and I of course got our Starbucks, this time before lunch! haha! It was great, as usual. One "fun" experience we had was we needed to find a Valero to get some gas... So we found a Valero on our fancy GPS, followed it even slightly off our course, and it was not a Valero... the GPS just thought it was. haha! We had a few experiences like that but we made it through it :) One time, we came upon traffic (from 75 mph to 2 mph) and just ahead there was a car wreck and shortly after that was a car that you could tell had been on fire. I texted other people in our group traveling today, and praise the Lord they were all safe!!!

Before we stopped at a park for lunch, mom and I finished our Beauty And The Beast movie that we had started yesterday. And that was another fun moment!

"Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise

Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Bitter sweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong

Certain as the sun
Rising in the East
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast"

Lunch time was yet again at a park and it was beautiful weather!! It was a nice break from what felt like the longest day ever. We finally began to see the "Cheyenne 19 miles ahead" sign, and that made us so excited!!! Finding our camp wasn't hard. But let me tell you, it is out in the middle of completely NO WHERE!!! You have to take an 8 mile rough dirt road to get to it. (and when I say rough I mean, it feels like you are driving on a washboard! It is crazy!) The weather is absolutely gorgeous! I love this cooler weather. And the scenery is so amazing!! I would post more pics for you to see but like I said, we are out in the middle of no where and there is no cell reception what so ever and the internet is a little sketchy (I'm lucky to be typing this right now) :) Hopefully tomorrow I can post more. Trust me it is gorgeous!!!!!! And our cabin is lovely, very convenient with everything is one building this year. That is a praise! Although there is no Air Condition, it is still amazing. I love Wyoming weather so much!! haha!

So today has been a great day! I praise the Lord for our safety and health getting here. It has been a fun evening too meeting up with people from our group (Mark, Bill and Cathy, Rupert, and Justin!) Can't wait to see the rest of the crew tomorrow!! Please continue to pray for them as they all travel. Pray for mom and I to get good rest tomorrow, so we can have energy for our mission to start on Saturday. I want to end with this song:

I Refuse
by: Josh Wilson

Sometimes I
I just want to close my eyes
And act like everyone's alright
When I know they're not

This world needs God
But it's easier to stand and watch
I could say a prayer and just move on
Like nothing's wrong

But I refuse
'Cause I don't want to live like I don't care
I don't want to say another empty prayer
Oh, I refuse

To sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse
I can hear the least of these
Crying out so desperately
And I know we are the hands and feet
Of You, oh God

So, if You say move
It's time for me to follow through
And do what I was made to do
Show them who You are

'Cause I don't want to live like I don't care
I don't want to say another empty prayer
Oh, I refuse

To sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse
To stand and watch the weary and lost
Cry out for help
I refuse to turn my back
And try and act like all is well

I refuse to stay unchanged
To wait another day, to die to myself
I refuse to make one more excuse

'Cause I don't want to live like I don't care
I don't want to say another empty prayer
Oh, I refuse

To sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse
