I drove for almost 2 hours today, which was fun! :) We finally made it to our hotel in Amarillo TX around 5:30. We dropped all our stuff off and headed back out for some much-needed Starbucks :) Now we are just going to chill out and get to bed early so we can wake up early tomorrow, and get home as soon as possible!!!!! Almost there! Only 6 more hours to go!!!! :) I will be so happy to be home. Thank you for all your prayers... We are thankful that the Lord has kept us safe and healthy this long on our journey, He is so good! Please continue to pray that we are healthy, drive and get home safe! Have a blessed day!!!

After Obedience... What?
"And straightway He constrained His disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side..." -Mark 6:45

"We are apt to imagine that if Jesus Christ constrains us, and we obey Him, He will lead us to great success. We must never put our dreams of success as God's purpose for us; His purpose may be exactly the opposite. We have an idea that God is leading us to a particular end, a desired goal; He is not. The question of gettting to a particular end is a mere incident. What we call the process, God calls the end.

What is my dream of God's purpose? His purpose is that I depend on Him and on His power now. If I can stay in the middle of the turmoil calm and unperplexed, that is the end of the purpose of God. God is not working toward a particular finish; His end is the process-- that I see Him walking on the waves, no shore in sight, no success, no goal, just the absolute certainty that it is all right because I see Him walking on the sea. It is the process, not the end, which is glorifying to God.

God's training is for now, not presently. His purpose is for this minute, not for something in the future. We have nothing to do with the afterwards of obedience; we get wrong when we think of the afterward. What men call training and preperation, God calls the end.

God's end is to enable me to see that He can walk on the chaos of my life just now. If we have a further end in view, we do not pay sufficient attention to the immediate present: if we realize that obedience is the end, then each moment as it comes is precious."

Wyoming... Day 11

This morning we began out journey home... We left the beautiful weather and camp in Wyoming around 7:45am. After searching, mom and I found a Starbucks!! (which was a great start to our morning)...

The drive flew past so fast! Before we knew it, we were in Colorado Springs! The first thing we did was we had lunch at The Airplane Restaurant. It was so cool!! We literally had lunch IN an airplane!! It was awesome, and the food was great as well. They had some really cool stuff that made it feel like an old fashion airplane. The menu was actually a newspaper!! And the airplane we ate in was HUGE!!!!

Then we drove a few miles and went to The Olympic Training Center!! That was awesome!!!! We got see where Michael Phelps trained just 6 weeks ago... and we saw where Apollo Ohno lived on the Complex for 8 years. We saw the different training centers for the gymnastics, wrestling, swimming, and learned some other interesting facts about that training center. Lots of fun there!!

Then we went to Patsy's Candies Shop! There were so many different kinds of chocolates and candies!!! It was hard for me to pick just a few to try... I'd eat them all, haha! That was a sweet stop :)

Mom and I both got three pieces of Chocolate, and we got a little cup of Blue Bunny Ice Cream!! And it was so good!!!! :) Then we drove a few miles to our Bed and Breakfast... It is a 1920s house. It feels a little weird (like you're sleeping in a stranger's home) but at the same time it is so cute! Everything is just so fancy and very victorian. It really is a cute house!!

So today was a fun filled day!!! Tomorrow we will sleep in a little bit, have breakfast at 9:00, and then hit the road... we will be heading to Amarillo TX tomorrow! One step closer to home, YEA!!!! Good night all! I am so exhausted, can't wait for a good night's sleep :)

Wyoming... Day 10

Today our group got the day off... It felt really weird to sleep in and not have to hand out water, but it was nice to get a little break. So this morning we worked on cleaning the cabin and packing up the van. Most of the people took a road trip to Centennial Mountain... but mom and I stayed at the cabin and rested. The view looked beautiful from these pictures:

Psalm 8:3-9
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
All sheep and oxen—
Even the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air,
And the fish of the sea
That pass through the paths of the seas.
O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

We then went to Trinity Baptist Church at 4:00 to do a Love Loud!! We had car washes, face painting, beads, and the best... Puppets!!!! Me, Mom, Cathy Foshea, Mark Clark, and Justin Smith had a blast doing the puppets!!!!! :) Such a great way to end the Mission Trip!!

On our way back to the camp Justin told us some hilarious stories of their trip to the Mountains... More laughing!!!! :) When we got back, Chad, Lauren and Justin had a water balloon fight!!! :)

This trip has been SO amazing! It has been a ton of fun getting to know new people. We have had lots of laughs!! It was great serving the Lord and planting seeds in the lives of the people in Wyoming, encouraging the Pastors, and reuniting with familiar faces we have been praying for. We have persevered through Satan's many trials this week. He has put speed blocks in our way but the Lord was still served and His message was shared despite those conflicts. We have learned patience and perseverance. We have created relationships with the people in Wyoming that can continue even when we leave tomorrow. We have also grown closer together as a group and I believe we will no longer just pass each other in the halls, but we will be a stronger family!! This has been a wonderful experience, and I hope you have enjoyed sharing it with me!!!

Thank you for all your prayers this week! This week could not have been possible without you at home praying! That is such an important part of mission trips. But it is not over yet... Please continue to pray for everyone as we all depart our separate ways and travel back home tomorrow. Have a blessed day!
